Bob the Builder Party Games

Since this theme is aimed towards Preschool Children, set up a place where the children can play. Take out all Lego, building blocks anything they can build with. Set up a colouring section for those who arrive early will keep them occupied before the other children arrive or the entertainer (in some cases).

ACTIVITIES:
Can we build it? Yes, we can!
Let the Children build with Lego, building bricks, paper cups, blocks etc., then each child can try and knock them down using plastic hammers, whoever knock down the most wins.

Bob the Builder Placements:

You will need colouring pages (see colouring page section for you free print out pages), crayons, markers, stickers, glue, glitter etc. Get a piece of thin cardboard the size of the colouring page, glue on the colouring page. Then cover the cardboard with contact paper but before that don’t forget to write their names on it so they can take them home with them.

Pin the Tools on Bob:

Like Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Get a picture of bob the builder and enlarge it and glue it onto cardboard. Draw or print out tools, place double side tape on them for the children to stick on while blindfolded. Whoever sticks the most tools nearest his belt wins.

Bobs Rock Toss:

Make “rock” bean bags from old socks/tights, fill them with rice, sow them closed or use a rubber band. Have the children toss them into a dump truck or wheelbarrow.

Boulder Toss:

Divide them into two equal teams. Give each child of each line an inflated balloon. They must pass the balloon in the air to the next in line without it touching the ground. When it reaches the last child they have to pass it back to the front. The 1st team to get it to the front wins.

Wheel Barrow Races:

Divide them into groups for a wheelbarrow race.

Bob Says:

Instead of Simon says use “Bob Says”. One child is picked (usually the birthday boy/girl) to be Bob and wear a construction helmet. They call out the commands “Bob Says” and the remaining children have to do as they are told. If Bob doesn\’t say “Bob Says” the children have to stay still. Those who move are out and the game continues until only one contestant remains and is then the winner.

Musical Scoop:

Print a picture of “Scoop” and tape it onto the bottom of a chair (before the party starts). Play the theme music, when the music stops and they sit in the chairs, the one sitting on the “Scoop” chair wins. This can be played over and over again giving each child a chance to win.

Bob Walk:

Cut out the shape of Bob’s insignia and place a number on each. Attach them to the floor with tape. Play the music when the music starts the children walk around on the Insignias when the music stops, call out a number from the bowl. The person standing on that number wins the prize. .
